Only Monday?!
Ouch. Too much driving over the weekend leads to a Monday that feels like a Wednesday. But it was worth it to visit my oft-neglected parents, take in some wonderful Santa Barbara sun, and get to know a new friend through the conversation that 14 hours of ride-sharing allows.
Compared to the time that it will take to visit my mom later this year, a trip to SB can be completed in a blink. And I suspect that my co-travellers on the plane simply cannot be as engaging as Lynn, my co-pilot on this trip, is. But that's another story/post.
