Tables for Layout Control!?

I've been playing around with the next version of Microsoft's SharePoint product and noticed a couple problems... they're using tables for almost all layout control, the stylesheets are hidden and giant, and a ton of infrastructure is required to render the simplest page. In fact, 420 lines of code are used to create the 'basic' default page. I think we can guess what the dev team has been smoking...
