Microsoft Figures out How to Build Buzz Among Bloggers
Release a kick ass blogging tool for free, and *BOOM* instant buzz. ;-)
Well, actually I don't know that LiveWriter is "kick ass" but it is pretty. And it pulls the background image from my blog so that the WYSIWYG editing applies to more than just the body text.
I say, good for MS. They're letting groups and even individuals publicly share innovations that are occurring inside the company. Since their big projects are hopelessly late and won't live up to early MS promises they need to show that something is going on in Redmond besides the collection of the MS Office tax.
What Digg has to say on the subject. And, Technorati currently has over 1,800 results for "live writer" as a single string. Now, if MS would just learn to give their products names that are more easily searched for...
