Looking for an indoor range in San Jose, with Yelp
In reality search engines have gotten so much better over the past 10 years that we've all re-calibrated our expectations. But today local review site Yelp.com returned an interesting set of results while I was searching for a shooting range in San Jose:
- Reed's Indoor Range - Perfect
- San Jose Sharks - Ummm, I guess shooting is a sport and the Sharks play sports. Okay.
- Tofoo Com Chay - A vegetarian restaurant. Maybe Yelp has a lot of Republican users?
- Santa Clara University - Meh, shooting up a school is soooo mid-90's.
- Westfield Shoppingtown Valley Fair - Ah, obviously Yelp has been keeping up with current trends in American culture.

But more importantly, search results are now expected to be useful. So much so that it's notable when they aren't. Anyone up for a trip to Reed's maybe followed by a healthy vegetarian dinner at Tofoo Com Chay?
